Rockingham Industrial Services started in 1996 after buying out an existing tool cutter business.  Fred Bullock, Proprietor has a long career history in the machine tool industry.  Fred's experience encompasses all aspects of machinery ranging from general machinist to designer/fabricator of various tooling and components.

One of Fred's specialties is rebuilding and modifying older equipment to suit a customer's needs.  After Fred's first customer had a drastic fire, he found himself rebuilding flock cutter machines, Pekrun and Berger machines built in the late 1930's on up.  We still continue rebuilding these today.  Along with rebuilding of these machines we also carry all the parts needed to complete all aspects of repairs.  When a machine is rebuilt it is put back together in a manner with tighter tolerances than they would have had new, and by doing this they not only are able to be used with todays fibers, they can easily handle Nano technology fibers as well!

Due to the work we do on Berger machines, which are from Germany, we find ourselves working on other Eastern European machines.  Most of these machines are no longer supported by their manufacturers, who have either gone out of business or simply have no interest in supporting their older equipment.  However, by being in Vermont,  the small state that it is, and us being a small company with older machinery, we find ourselves quite often reverse engineering when we have the need for parts.  In addition we have a rather substantial network and if parts are still out there, we know where to find them and who to get them from.  Don't give up on your old paid off machines, Talk to us!

In 2002 we formed OK Tool along with Bob Morris, a manufacturing engineer manager.  Bob and Fred worked together at Kingsbury Manufacturing in Keene, NH.  Both are lifelong members of SME, serving as chairs.  Bob purchased the line of Pratt & Whitney tool grinders, the R6 and R8 as well as the surface grinder line 202 (Norton and P&W).  The Tool grinders (R6 and R8) are manual 12 axis machines.  We acquired with the purchase were all the drawings, spare parts, castings, etc...We are the company to come to for your parts needs, if we don't have it, we can make it to the original specifications!
